Who we are
Hymalayas is operated by Superidea Studio, Oslo, Norway — the data controller for the website. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you join the waitlist or subscribe to the Daily Bodh, we collect your email address, the time you signed up, which form you used, and your browser’s user-agent string. We use it only to send what you asked for: a single note when the app launches (waitlist), or one contemplative reading each morning (Daily Bodh). Nothing else.
Our legal basis
Consent — given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of processors, each bound to use your data only to provide their service to us, never for their own purposes:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and storage.
- Resend — sending our emails.
- Google Analytics — website measurement, and only if you accept the analytics cookie.
Where it goes
These providers may process data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses — the safeguards EU law recognises for such transfers.
Cookies
We set a single analytics cookie (_ga, Google Analytics), and only after you accept it in our banner. Decline, and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected] or use the unsubscribe link; we respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you believe we’ve mishandled your data, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
